I have to agree. Her personality in the movie compared to the game was way off. Great choice in actress though!

According to the trailer of Resident Evil: Degeneration that came with the DVD of RE: Extinction, both Claire and Leon will be in it. It'll be awesome to see Leon and Claire together again amidst the action.

I agree that the actress did a good job. It wasn't her fault that they wrote the part the way they did. But then most of what was in the movies was way different than the games. But I still enjoyed them.

I dunno, i only enjoyed the second movie 'cause of Jill and i liked the first because i like Michelle Rodriguez, who i might add would have been perfect for Claire's role.

I liked RE:Apocalypse just because Jill's my fav. character. The portrayal of Jill in Apocalypse seemed (definitely) more cold-hearted than her game counterpart, which of course I didn't appreciate. The portrayal of Claire in Extinction wasn't much different from that, I think. Hopefully when the CGI-film RE:Degeneration comes out, they need to only worry about the voice acting of the characters, since the CGI will have their appearance (and hopefully personality) down pat.

I enjoyed them all for horror movies, but if asked if I enjoyed them as Resident Evil movies, I'd have to say not so much. They took too many liberties with what they created and strayed too far from the games.

The biggest liberty, obviously, was the first RE movie. Anderson stated that it's to be like a prequel to the first game, but how could it possibly fit? The underground labs in RE1/REmake were much smaller than seen in the movie, plus the mansion was smaller in the movie and there were no smaller buildings or cabins like in the game. anyways, this is just to add how the movies strayed from the games.

My views have changed on Claire's character in the past year and now she's on my top 3 favorite characters....what is really cool about Degeneration is that Claire looks just as young as she did in RE2 and CVX.

Yeah I love Claire's look for Degeneration. She looks like a real person. Hopefully if there are any changes to her personality, it'll make sense with her character, unlike in Extinction, where I felt she was too rough for her game counterpart.

Well I think we can trust Capcom with this movie.
The movies were a totally different universe.

I wonder if they are going to get the same voice actor from RE4 Leon.

I didn't care for her portrayal at all. Sure she had some resemblance to the Claire of Resident Evil, but that is where it ended. She seemed like a totally different character. I guess you could put it off to the time that has passed and it has hardened her. I'm sure anyone who has had to survive that type of environment might not keep their nice personality, but it just didn't seem right. Too much Sarah Conner influence.
