I just bought, played, and beat Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty a couple of days ago and I absolutely love it! Can someone tell me a little about what MGS3 is about?

I know what you mean. The game kind of reminds me of another game: Splinter Cell. Both game series deal with sneaking around and getting information, but Splinter Cell seems more slow-paced to me. I picked up on MGS right away because it was easy for me to control. I can't wait for MGS4: Guns of the Patriots.

I love everything about the MGS games except whiny little Raiden and Rose the lying, spying *****.
MGS3 is a prequel to the others and takes place back in the early '60s. You play as an operative named John (also called Jack), codenamed Naked Snake, and your job is to sneak into Soviet Russia to extract a defecting scientist.
Before you play MGS3, I would suggest replaying MGS2 with the radar turned off. MGS3 relies only on player skill and a camoflauge clothing system to evade enemies.
